I am so excited to get the privilege of spending the school year with your child! I’m thrilled to be here and know we will have a great time together learning and preparing for the sixth grade. This is my 11th year with Abington School District, and my 4th year in Abington Middle School. I spent two years in fifth grade, 9 years in sixth, and before that, I spent 14 years teaching preschool. I am an Abington resident whose three daughters have also been a part of the school district. My oldest graduated from Abington Senior High with the Class of 2022 and attends Arcadia University as a senior. My husband and I recently dropped off our middle daughter for her freshman year at the University of Pittsburgh, and our youngest is a junior at Abington Senior High. We love it here and love our community!

I know that the transition to middle school may propose many challenges for students and families, but I am confident that we can work through these together and will have a fantastic school year!

My name is Jessica Ambrose and I grew up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I've lived in Pennsylvania since 2000 when I married my husband, who grew up in Upper Moreland Twp.. I've lived in Abington since 2007 and have three daughters in the Abington School District.

I have been working with children for 20+ years. I love children and making a difference in their lives. I think it is important to not only impart knowledge but teach children how special they are and do my part to contribute to helping them have a positive self-image. If a child grows up believing in themselves, they can accomplish anything! In my spare time I love to read, craft, make new recipes, go camping, to the beach, or to the mountains. Being the mom of three girls, I have the unique perspective of BOTH an educator and a parent. I think this is something that can benefit us greatly. When I think about the children, I look at them from both angles, what I want them to learn and how I, as a parent, would want them to be treated. Our children are the most precious keys to our future and this is something I understand and feel honored to be a part of.
